Mennonite church in Ontario vandalized

June 8, 2016

The deacon of the Cedarvale Conservative Mennonite Church, near Harriston, Ont., contacted police on the morning of June 3, 2016, to report that the church property was vandalized overnight. Offensive language was spray-painted on the church door and on the back wall, as well on a garden shed, a garbage container and playground equipment. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them, but since it is a rural church there are few passers-by. Fifteen years ago the same church was targeted with graffiti, with no arrests made. The damage is estimated at $500. –CBC News Kitchener-Waterloo
