Canadians among Goshen scholarship winners

Rockway Mennonite Collegiate graduate Connor Huxman of Waterloo, Ont., is one of 10 college-bound students being offered the President’s Leadership Award, which is Goshen College’s top merit scholarship. The award is given in recognition of outstanding academic performance and promise in potential leadership. Worth $19,000 per year and renewable for eight semesters, the award includes participation in an intercultural leadership development program. It is renewable if a recipient maintains a 3.5 grade point average during college and contributes 15 hours per semester in the leadership program. Huxman plans to study biology. Also being offered the award is Naomi Peters of Winnipeg; a graduate of Mennonite Brethren Collegiate, Peters plans to study music.  —Goshen College
