New coordinator for Mennonite Men/Join Hands

Hans Peters of Kitchener, Ont., was recently named National Coordinator-Canada for Mennonite Men/JoinHands. He has a background of business and church ministry and experience working with communities in development and engaging people from a variety of cultures. Peters succeeds Marv Baergan, who retired as the Canadian National Coordinator in August after serving for 12 years. Mennonite Men, an organization of the Mennonite Church, is a jointly owned partnership of Mennonite Church Canada and Mennonite Church USA. It seeks to provide an Anabaptist perspective on manhood that speaks to current issues; promotes men’s groups; offers study resources for men’s groups, retreats and mentoring relationships; and encourages acts of service. –Mennonite Church Canada
