Grebel announces new faculty member in practical theology

The Conrad Grebel University College (Waterloo, Ont.) board of directors announced the appointment of Carol Penner, Ph.D, as assistant professor of practical theology. Penner completed her doctoral studies at the University of St. Michael’s College, where she focused her teaching and research on feminist theology and violence against women. She is previously taught courses on the Grebel campus and at the Toronto Mennonite Theological Centre. Penner is presently senior pastor at Lendrum Mennonite Brethren Church in Edmonton, Alta., and before that served as pastor of The First Mennonite Church in Vineland, Ont. Penner will begin teaching in the fall semester. —Conrad Grebel University College
